¡ Salud !
Hola Alvaro! Welcome back to your own blog 🙂 If you visit Vejer again and if you like craft beer (cervezas artesanas), you could visit Cervezas Besaro. I have learned about it from Lola’s lafritada blog and was surprised that there is a craft beer brewery in the province of Cadiz. I intend to go there the next time that I am in Vejer. They also have a website.
Hi Georg,
Nice to see you again here!
Yes, I know Besaro beers, I was in the factory and I love that beer 🙂
But I didn’t know «la fritada blog», looks cool thanks! 🙂
Cheers
I like Lola’s cooking blog, because most of her recipes seem to be for dishes from the province of Cadiz and because she also sometimes visits food producers (for example fish tins and smoked fish, algae), butchers (yes you know two of them close to Vejer), wine growers and a brewery (which I just mentioned) from the province of Cadiz. It is interesting for people who want to buy local products and to cook local recipes and drink local wine and beer. I hope they will not have to cancel the feria de primavera de El Colorado 2021. Let us hope that we will all be vaccinated by then.
Nice, I will add Lola’s blog to my blog list 🙂
It’s amazing Georg how you are so knowledgeable and interested in Cadiz’s gastronomical culture, much more than the locals for instance 😉
And yes, lets meet some time soon, would be nice to have a beer, or wine!
I too wish Feria del Colorado is held as usual… lets see.
Hi Alvaro! There have not been any new posts on your blog this year. I hope that you are fine and that you still have enough business and money to go to restaurants or chiringuitos. We have been vaccinated twice against the corona virus and hope to be back in the province of cadiz in may next year. It would be great if the feria de primavera de El Colorado would take place again in 2022. By the way, Lola recently posted about a visit to a bodega (I think it was the one with the Entrechuelos brand run by somebody from the Domecq family) on her lafritdada blog. Either there or on the website of the bodega you can find a code for followers of her blog with which you can get a discount on their wines. I really like the tercer año red wine from Entrechuelos and usually have it with a chuleton de vaca retinta.
Hey Greg!
All good here, yes, due to «corona situation» I have been a bit reluctant (and also lazy!) to publish. Also I have not been to many «new» restaurantes over this time. However this will change soon. And I’m ok thanks..
Yes, definitely we need to go to Feria de El Colorado for some drink, sometime. I hope we can do so next year.
And thanks again for all your good advice, I take note of the Entrechuelos visit and wine! 🙂
Really appreciate your comments, hope to meet you one sunny day 😉
Hi Alvaro! I found Kino’s smokehouse & BBQ in Jerez on the internet and looked on some pictures of the food and read an article about it. The food looks really nice on those pictures. It looks like a place to visit if one is into U.S. style burgers and BBQ. I intend to try it the next time that I am in Jerez if the restaurant has survived the coronavirus crises.
Hi again Greg,
I love burgers!! Hence I take note of this one, if you go there please come back and comment how good (or bad) it was!
Thank you, take care.
